Robert Fronk

Robert Fronk is an independent consultant with nearly 20 years of experience on both the client and agency side in building results-focused marketing and brand strategies. His work has centered on companies and industries in transition, resulting primarily from new technologies, or market driven consolidation.

Prior to establishing his consulting practice, he served as the Practice Lead for Brand and Marketing Strategy at Sapient, a global business, technology, and design consultancy. Before joining Sapient, Robert led the strategy practice at Addison, a boutique brand marketing and design consultancy that focused on globalization, and mergers and acquisitions issues.

Robert has a strong bias toward the development of enterprise brands that incorporate an organization’s business and cultural profiles with a clear understanding of its entire value chain.

His recent clients have included Credit Suisse|First Boston, where he designed and established global digital brand and product development standards, Nokia, where his team defined a global experience model for Nokia’s online and offline business activities, and the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation, where he developed an e-business and brand strategy to maximize the efforts of this $800M foundation focused on children with learning differences.

Following a very exciting and rewarding four years as the VP Sales & Marketing for DfE, a new product development firm that he co-founded, he spent two years leading the strategic planning and North American product launch for Microsoft’s Windows 98 operating system, including all channel marketing, B2B and consumer media.

A sought after presenter, Robert was honored by the Silicon Valley Communicators organization for his presentation, "Why Branding Isn’t What You Think It Is." He co-authored Sapient’s point of view on digital branding, which has been widely read, followed and imitated in the past two years.

Robert holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Columbia University.
